What To Expect After Treatment
Please note that it is normal for swelling to occur in the lasered areas. This usually resolves itself after 1-2 days. As well, you can expect your baby to be fussy the afternoon and evening following the procedure. How can you blame them!? He/She also may not nurse as much. However, this is normal and will subside as they become more comfortable with their newfound mobility.
Stretching Instructions
- The stretching process should not take more than 15-20 seconds
- Place the baby’s head in your lap to aid in proper direction and force
For the Lip:
Lift the lip up to full extension with mild to moderate force. Sweep your finger across the revised area 4x, 4-5 times a day
For the Tongue:
Lift the tongue up from the sides to the full extension with mild to moderate force. Sweep your finger up from the base of the tongue 4x, 4-5 times a day
